I
hope the authorities will take stringent measures to end such inconsiderate
practices.
Ongoing discussions on proposed MRT lines connecting Johor and
Singapore should consider these issues for incorporation in the plans,
developing the entire stretch of land from north to south currently used by KTM
Railways, and using environmentally friendly trains with optimal use of land.
With no jurisdiction over the land lease, the fact that people are exposed to
such health endangerment is frustrating, considering that the Malaysian
government revoked the agreement for the use of Malaysian airspace by Republic
of Singapore Air Force aircraft because of excessive noise and health concerns
raised by Malaysian residents.
Meanwhile, we must endure the same pollution
caused by Malaysian trains, with no right to voice our concerns.
Francis
Heng

Just wondering, why does this person choose to live here then? The train station have been around since 1932. But's that's me, haha.

On a serious note, nobody say you cannot drink (alcohol), but be responsible, ask your friend to drive you back, or take a cab, or the night bus services( on Fridays, Saturdays and PH Eve though).

Guess, guess

Looking through my photos and I found this. So don't expect any content here.

Okay lah, let me tell you some cold jokes so that you all will be frozen (your brain too, just like getting a brain freeze after drinking 7 eleven's slurpee). As a result of being frozen, you will not be able to move (including hands) and you all should thank me for that because you will not feel frustrated as without moving your hands, you cannot use the mouse and hence cannot use the computer, which leads to you not being able to view my blog. So even if I never update my blog for one day, 1 month, 1 year, 10 years, or maybe a century, you all will not complain about my blog never update at all because you all won't even whether or not I got update. I know you may have other plans to know whether i got update or not, like 1. asking others to check for you. But no point, you are frozen, how to speak, 2. using eye signal, but also no point your whole body is already frozen and that includes your eyes. 3. Ah, you must be thinking, why not use telepathy, but also no point, remember brain freeze( refer to the earlier part this post if you forget, because I did mention it).

But stop dreaming lah (if you believe what I metioned in the earlier paragraph), jokes can cause people to freeze? Siao! Gila! If really can ah, then fridge and aircon companies and evennn also snow city can close down already. Since jokes cannot freeze people, I will just forget about posting a joke here. Sorry hor, waste your time reading so much to find the joke but unable to. My sincere apologises.

Changi Airport Terminal 3 Open house

18 November 2007

Together with my parents, I went to Changi Airport Terminal 3 open house, which is currently on from 12 November to 9 December 2007. Schduled to open next year, 9 January, it is the newest and largest terminal building in Singapore.

Glass!, Glass!, Glass!, Glass!, everywhere you can them, allowing us to see through every part. What I also like is the natural lighting system( glass windows on top), it really helps saves the environment ($$$ also, of course). The artifical lightings turn out only when there is not enough sunlight(in the day) and at night. The viewing gallery, though, is not very good, can't really see the planes, as it is not all the way to the edge of the terminal, and even though the edge of the terminals are also glass walls, there are sun shades which obstructs the view of planes.

Overall, terminal 3 deserves the thumbs-up.

Bought tickets, priced at $3( all proceeds goes to Singapore Cancer Society) , for the guided tour to the transit mall. We started off from the visitor gallery, and entered through the departure gate ( only 1 centralised gate, unlike T1&T2 ), followed by the crossroad -> Shopping Galore (not ready yet) -> Water Features (There is a koi pond, no fish yet though at that point of time) -> New High-Speed Baggage Handling System, Green Wall, Sandstone Art Wall and the tour ened after leaving the transit area.

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5134227893616854690" style="WIDTH: 318px; Went down and captured this picture from a busstop along Woodlands Dr 50. Boarded the bus, and took it all the way to Woodlands Checkpoint and back to Woodlands Interchange.

After that, went down to Serangoon Interchange via 168 (SBS9006) -> Jalan Kayu-> 103(SBS1832K). Both rides were quick shiok.

When I arrived at Serangoon interchange, saw a k230ub - off service leaving the interchange. So went for dinner at a nearby coffeeshop. After eating, went back to the interchange, waited for a few buses ( my patience paid off as I thought of giving up since there was 2 k230ubs which came in but went off service) before I finally boarded the K230UB (SBS8138K) for the first time. Took the bus all the way to Ghim Moh Terminal (1h11mins). The ride was nice, comfortable, the window frames looked weird though - from the inside. And a side thought, wheelchair users will have to face backwards while travelling (the same for the Volvo B9TL - Double deck) . How about those who have motion sickness if they face backward?
